Since starting to change my lifestyle I have done a lot of reading to learn more about my body and what I should and shouldn’t be putting into it. One thing I’m currently loving is lemons, there are so many benefits to them that it would be silly not to.
It has actually turned into a little obsession of mine now! I love the colour yellow, have lemon wallpaper on my phone and even want to try and wear more yellow. What can I say? It’s a happy colour especially when the sun is out and living in London it doesn’t
happen that often.

Lemons have so many nourishing elements from vitamin C to protein, they contain antioxidants which can help with high blood pressure and constipation. It can improve your internals as well as your skin and hair.

I have got into the habit of having a lemon water either first thing in the morning or with my breakfast. I find that it kick starts my metabolism and as I have IBS my metabolism needs all the help it can get. Having it first thing in the morning allows
it to flush away all the toxins in my body, it makes me feel more awake and fresh.

I never used to be a fan of lemon water, I was one of those annoying people that would pick it straight out of the glass if it was given to me in a restaurant. After some trial and error, I have found what works for me.

Lemon in hot water – NO. This was not for me, it was too potent in the mornings before work and I never found time to have a hot drink in the morning rush.

I’m slowly finding new things to add to my daily routine, this being one of them. So far I’m loving everything that I find and would love to hear any suggestions that you may have about what to try next. I want to try more natural things instead of the easy
route of tablets and shop bought goods.

Since trying out this lifestyle I have noticed that I wake up happier and wanting to start my day, this is a bloody huge thing for me! A few months ago I was an anxious and depressed mess, of course, I’m only human and still have my down days but they are a
lot less and I feel like I can deal with them better when they come.
