BLOGGER – TEABEE

  1. Tell us about yourself . . .

Hey! I’m Tania, I am 23 years old (almost forgot then!) and I’ve had my blog for almost 3 years!

  1. How did you first get into blogging? Who inspired you?

I have always liked creative writing and 3 years ago, I had a lot of ideas & interests which I really wanted to put into words but it seemed like I had nowhere to put them. I was reading an article one evening about a man who wasted 42 years of his life being married to his job that he lost all of his family, and even missed his own Dads funeral!

It sounds random but that really spurred me to want to write something and I ended up writing a big old post about careers. This led onto me documenting my adventures, writing about my recent purchases and sharing some personal posts in hope that I could help at least one person. That’s about it really!

  1. How would you describe your blogging style?

Chatty, honest and easy going!

  1. How do you come up with new and fresh ideas for your blog?

I always think of the best ideas in the shower or when I’m trying to sleep at night! Failing that, I’ll see or read other blogs that will make inspire me to write.

  1. How do you make sure you always have time to blog?

I just TRY to find time haha! I work full-time so the balance between that, a blog and a social life is hard but if you really want to do it, you just find the time. I find the majority of my evenings or lunch breaks are spent blogging.

  1. Who are your top 3 bloggers?

Ahhhh there’s no way I can chose!! I love SO many bloggers but if I had to pick, it would have to be Hannah Gale, Mini Adventures and Emmy Writes About. Their blogs are always my go-to reads! 🙂

  1. What do you like to do in your spare time?

Go exploring, binge watch Netflix, have a good clear out (weird, right?) and spending time with my boyfriend, friends and family!

  1. How do you deal with negative comments and feedback about your blog?

I’ve only ever had 1 negative comment on one of my Blogmas posts.. luckily nothing more! At first, I wasn’t really sure how to deal with it, but in the end I just laughed because it was just a silly, petty comment that didn’t really even mean anything. I just think if someone has the time to actually write a nasty comment on your blog then it’s just a waste of their own time and effort.

  1. What camera do you use to take your blog pictures with?

I use a Nikon D3300 but lately I’ve just been using my iPhone 7 Plus – it’s just as good!

  1. For new bloggers. . . how do you find the money to fund you blog posts?

With great difficulty haha! Even though I work full-time, I still can’t afford all of the main high-end releases unless it’s my birthday! I tend to just find dupes or cheaper alternatives and then it’s like you never really missed out?!

  1. How do you keep your readers interested?

Oooh that’s a hard question. Just promoting I guess and general posting on social media!

  1. What is the greatest satisfaction about being a blogger?

When people genuinely compliment you or take the time out to write a thoughtful comment. Also if people ask me for advice on how to start a blog I feel very touched!!

  1. What is the best way to gain more readers on your blog site?

Promote, promote, promote! For ages, I was too lazy to do this but when I did start scheduling tweets using Buffer it’s boosted my views loads. Also, stay true to yourself and your content and if people like you they are more likely to come back.

  1. For anyone thinking about starting a blog of their own, what advice would you give them?

Stick to what you’re passionate about, be honest about things, a good layout (v.cheap on Etsy and usuallt easy to install!), try to keep social media handles the same and just be yourself! The rest will come in time and you learn as you go along.

I would like to say thank you to Tania, I loved reading this back and I hope you guys love it too!

Please share it and pass it on, you have to check her out!
